I suck at shameless self promo, but I used to sell a bunch of these over on the bird site. When I left my sales of my 2023 calendars dropped. These calendars are full of Minnesota images, so I don't think the appeal will be large beyond The North and the Midwest. Anyway, if some of my bird site friends made it here and were looking, here it is. Now back to my regular sharing of art.

Trans folks, bringing your authentic self to the holidays is a gift for all around you. I think you have every right to leave and take that gift back if it is unappreciated or unwanted. #trans

People who argue against raising the minimum wage are literally arguing that some people do not deserve to be able to afford the basics of life even if they work full-time. #WorkersRights #RaisetheMinimumWage
If you're scrambling to find a last minute Christmas present for me (because giving gifts to internet strangers is a totally normal thing that everyone does) please check out my Patreon. I use these funds to write more of the facts that you maybe know and hopefully love.
But if you'd rather use the $12 to buy yourself a burrito in 2023, please do that. I mean it. Say what you will about me, but I am a man who respects a good burrito. Enjoy every bite. You've earned it.

We do this silly little tradition on the Eve of an Eve, we call it an Evil, on this day we get to make one selfish wish just for ourselves. I would love to hear your selfish wishes if you feel like sharing.
Mine:
I really hope I can go on a week long beach vacation this coming year!
Happy Christmas Evil!

After reading Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony, it's hard not to conclude that Mark Meadows is in deep legal doodoo. I know that's not a legal term, but it's apt.
The question is, with so much exposure, will Meadows flip on Trump? Perhaps he has already. We haven't heard much from him at all for some time now.

This is how the birth of the #NHS was announced in 1948.
The Tories had tried & failed to stop the introduction of free, universal public healthcare.
They've spent the last 12 years undermining & hollowing out the NHS through underfunding & creeping privatisation.
Black Twitter's expected demise would make it harder to publicize police brutality and discuss racism

How do we use #Mastodon to solve this? How can we organize information feeds so that we can bridge between here and where the "official" account are and should be pressured?
If there was another #Ferguson today, how would elected representatives be pressured from here?
How do we make #fediverse viral to mainstream TV?
In homes and schools around Bosnia, youngsters this December have been preparing gift boxes they hope will put a smile on the faces of their peers living through war in Ukraine β just as such gifts did for many of their parents a generation ago. https://apnews.com/article/sarajevo-children-8c3d135c92d6d49b2df5aecd92130070

Bayard Rustin (1912-1987) worked closely with Martin Luther King Jr. for decades as a planner of the Montgomery bus boycott and as the primary architect of the 1963 March on Washington. A confidant and adviser, he introduced MLK to Gandhiβs principles of nonviolent resistance. His role in the civil rights movement was largely relegated to the background, however, because he was gay. In the 1980s, he became a public advocate for gay and other human rights. #BlackFriday #LGBTQ
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
