“Did you know that of $100 spent in a chain store, only $13 stays in the local economy? Of $100 spent at a locally owned store, $48 stays in the local economy.” A reminder of just one of many reasons to #ShopLocal as you do your last-minute #Christmas shopping. Especially when you support your local downtowns and main streets.

i have always told people that if they ever see me gambling on something, assume i am cheating

Informative toot on procrastination coming soon.

In any relationship, you have to accept some of your partners quirks & they must accept some of yours. Some people chew loudly. Some people snore. Some people leave the back door open so that a large neighbourhood opossum can sleep on the couch because he likes the couch & it's too cold for him to be sleeping outside anyways.

I love that everyone is basically wandering around Mastodon right now wearing their weirdest hashtags and trying to find their people.

"Are you #Apiarist ?"
"No, sorry, I'm #ArduinoMusic ."

#ArduinoMusic turns around.

"ANYBODY INTO BEES?"

A hand goes up in the back of the crowd.

"NICE."

I really struggled with the icing for my gingerbread barn and it accidentally became a gingerbread slaughterhouse.

Anyone would think he has absolutely nothing to do with this mess!! “Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said he was "really sad" about the disruption being caused "to so, so many people's lives, particularly at Christmas time." #TotalAbdicationOfResponsibility #GTTO #SupportTheNHS

Tucker Carlson's repulsive attack on Zelensky claimed he "humiliated" the US by addressing Congress in a sweatshirt. But his speech was more humiliating to Tucker and the Putinists than to anyone else.

I tallied up the things Tucker got wrong this year in this new piece:

Sadly, I’ll be self-isolating for Christmas. I haven’t got COVID, I just don’t like my family.

🎶 Stop holding on to that feeeling! 🎶

Like Malcolm X, Nina Simone was a passionate activist and dedicated to the Black liberation struggle. She posed in this photo very intentionally as an homage to Malcolm. 🖤🙏🏿 #BlackFriday #BlackMastodon #Mastodon

I'm making friends with as many of them as I can: the Age of Cats is coming 😳😂😸

@ScottSoCal @RickiTarr I convinced grandpa ~2015 to get a Prius when we needed to replace the van grandma used to drive. It’s a 2009 hybrid, and for a guy who’s been a farmer his whole life driving mostly trucks, I was happy he ended up loving it.

He passed this summer, and it’s still holding up under me, but I’d love to upgrade. Unfortunately, can’t get an EV bc I’m in rural nowhere and nearest charging station is 1.5 hours away 😬
