@therobburgessshow: As I tell people on FB, I'm responsible for what appears in my feed, you're responsible for what appears in yours. Goes pretty much everywhere, I guess.
When parrots are happy and safe, they grind their beaks. It's their signal that all is right in the world and they're at peace.
Scooter has had her piece of peanut butter toast (hubs' contribution to a well-rounded diet), some sliced mango, minced baby arugula, pellets. Her whole flock is here, sitting with her in the family room, and she's beak grinding like a fiend, with her eyes 3/4 closed.
Life is good in Scooterland.

Soon to be 62. Solo since my partner passed in 2013.
Daughter in Ireland, I'm in Mexico/Southwest US.
Sunny Dog and I have been nomadic since 2015. He's getting old...so am I.
We are at a fork in the road as to what to do next.
We've 45k between us. Van is happy and a great home on wheels.
But what's next for us, I haven't a guess.
Been in Quartzsite 30 days, making friends, playing music.
Every morning I ask Sunny "where to?"
...the dog park.
Need ideas.
I can only count so many coyotes.
Every private space is owned by someone. That someone makes and enforces the rules according to their own interests.
You have no right to free speech in private spaces. If the owner of a shopping mall doesnβt like what your t-shirt says, they can have security escort you out.
βSocial mediaβ (Silicon Valley and venture capitalists) sold you the lie that shopping malls are parks.
They are not.
If you care about human rights and democracy, build and support parks not shopping malls.
In the worst week of the #COVID19 pandemic thus far, the world experienced 24 million cases. China estimates 250 million people have caught COVID in the past 20 days. On top of the 4 million the rest of Earth counted each week, that means we're presently at 87 million cases per week--3x higher than previous records. You might think what happens in China doesn't impact you, but this will fuel a new surge, create new variants, and have implications for supply chains. https://www.ft.com/content/1fb6044a-3050-44d8-b715-80c18ca5c9ab
βDid you know that of $100 spent in a chain store, only $13 stays in the local economy? Of $100 spent at a locally owned store, $48 stays in the local economy.β A reminder of just one of many reasons to #ShopLocal as you do your last-minute #Christmas shopping. Especially when you support your local downtowns and main streets.

In any relationship, you have to accept some of your partners quirks & they must accept some of yours. Some people chew loudly. Some people snore. Some people leave the back door open so that a large neighbourhood opossum can sleep on the couch because he likes the couch & it's too cold for him to be sleeping outside anyways.
I love that everyone is basically wandering around Mastodon right now wearing their weirdest hashtags and trying to find their people.
"Are you #Apiarist ?"
"No, sorry, I'm #ArduinoMusic ."
#ArduinoMusic turns around.
"ANYBODY INTO BEES?"
A hand goes up in the back of the crowd.
"NICE."
Anyone would think he has absolutely nothing to do with this mess!! βPrime Minister Rishi Sunak said he was "really sad" about the disruption being caused "to so, so many people's lives, particularly at Christmas time." #TotalAbdicationOfResponsibility #GTTO #SupportTheNHS
Tucker Carlson's repulsive attack on Zelensky claimed he "humiliated" the US by addressing Congress in a sweatshirt. But his speech was more humiliating to Tucker and the Putinists than to anyone else.
I tallied up the things Tucker got wrong this year in this new piece:
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
