I want to take a moment to brag on the #Jewish Mastodon community (aka, #Mazeldon )

I've had the chance to participate in several discussions on very touchy topics over the last couple of weeks (including about issues related to #Israel/#Palestine) and I've been very pleasantly surprised by the quality and civility of conversation, even when those having the discussion have very different perspectives.

It's not perfect, but compared to #Birdsite or FB, this is a breath of fresh air.

Now THIS is how we welcome strangers!💙

I wish I knew who this person is, because they deserve the kudos!

Seeing stories like this helps restore a bit of my faith in humanity. Especially at a time when so many people suck!

@ScottSoCal this is my first taste of a kinda smart watch and I already had to look and see if I could install some kind of Linux on it but that's a hard no lmao. I really like the idea of having access to all that stuff on your wrist though. just the Spotify controls and weather is as mind blowing as when I got my first Sony Ericsson flip phone with a web browser 😂
