Every so often, patience is rewarded. For 30 minutes I watched this tricolored heron fishing in a canal. He would be very still, tense up, then take wing & pounce on the fish. He then ventured down by a reflection of a yellow blossomed tree and I captured him in a ‘dance’ above the water.

I’m kinda wishing Mastodon will eventually break the stranglehold Twitter seems to have on writers. It’s almost like people are too afraid to give up, and lose their followers.
