One of the reasons conservatives target transgender folks is because if you accept that gender is binary and immutable, you'll be more likely to accept that gender roles are too.

Because I am super earnest, I like LinkedIn Learning's marketing line about "creating a culture of learning."

I mean, sure, it's corny, but the only way we get better is by dedicating time to learning.

Many years ago, I was photographed for the Dear World project, and the motto I chose to write on my body was "keep learning."

How can a bank go that long not realizing they don't have enough cash on hand to cover their ass?

That was just my little pouring out of my heart, because a friend of mine was threatened by an anti-trans “protestor”today. They were out terrorizing the Children’s Hospital in St. Louis because they offer gender affirming healthcare. The “protestor” aimed their car at my friend, threatening to run him over, swerving at the last moment.

And my brave friend DANCED.

He found a reservoir of unstolen joy in his heart and used it to make his trans Jewish self more visible as a counter to the hate.

Broke the music industry, a few eardrums, and a lot of hope that this sh*t is dying anytime soon.

They have gone on strike as a last resort, after years of #tory attrition towards the #NHS and a radical decade long program of defunding of our health service.

@geekyonion @ScottSoCal @peterb If I can be a plant nerd for a moment, I've always found the avocado toast thing to be hilariously strange. Avocados literally grow on trees in California, and anyone who wants to grow them in their backyard can plant one and in a few years have more than they can possibly eat. (We were getting over 2000 avocados a year from a tree at a place we rented a couple of years ago.)
