That word, could have had me arrested in too many places in America

There would have never been "to term" of a DEAD fetus

I was already grieving because I did want that baby

The thought of being persecuted along with waiting to hemorrhage, I think, would violate my 8th amendment right

I have an allotment. It's good because you don’t need to know much; there’s always some old geezer around to ask for advice.

This morning I went up to plant my first early potatoes. On my neighbour’s plot was a young woman in her 30's who had been sent to plant some onion sets, and she didn’t know how. So I spent a few minutes taking her through it and showing her the onions I’d planted on Friday as an example.

Hello! I'm an environmental journalist with the @TexasObserver. I've been lurking while reporting an investigative story... but now that I've turned in a draft and have my head partially above water, I want to engage!

I'm a bumbling New Englander in San Antonio who didn't realize homes here don't always come with heat, accidentally rented an apartment with no HVAC, and have been alternating between boiling hot and freezing cold ever since!
