When I was young, I was one of those stupid kids who would swing as high and hard as I could, and at the top of the arc, jump. Yes, I was blind when I did that, too. I type 90 WPM. And no, I don't consider myself an exceptional blind person. I like representation in stories, but I'm not sure I can read this book. It will make me angry or sad. I've liked other Karin Slaughter books, but this one is making me realize painfully just how far we have to go to convince others we are real people.
Would you guys like artwork like this? These works were done as inspirations of friends of mine but Iβd be happy to open for commissions to the people of Mastodon.
Get in touch with me if you would like an artwork done of a family member, or close friends, or even yourself for D&D or such. One of my key themes is mask, so I can also come up with a custom mask for your character as well.
If you reblog Iβd greatly appreciate it :)

Belated #introduction, I'm Dave. I'm an extra-full-stack developer in the Microsoft on-prem tool stack. Extra-full-stack meaning you can give me a credit card and I can give you a working web app including building the servers to run it on. I also play bass guitar, build mechanical keyboards, and spend family time with my wife and dog. I'm a cishet Latino stroke survivor. I'm learning to be a better ally. He/him.
Did you know that an estimated 30% of Ukraine's territory is contaminated with mines and unexploded munitions?
This is why we have launched a project to train and donate fifty explosive and mine detection dogs to Ukrainian authorities; and nine of them have already been paired with Ukrainian dog handlers.
πΎ We're proud to support this important contribution to making Ukraine a safer place for everyone.
@ScottSoCal I read that as vagitude and now it's stuck in my head πππ
After enduring an onslaught of wild critters getting to my vegetables before I can pick them, I built this fortress last Fall.
A 9'x18' fully enclosed garden. Β½" screen top, sides, and bottom. I was also going to arm it with photon water guns but figured it would be overkill.
I may indeed finally be able to enjoy one of my mortgage lifter tomatoes this year.
Also... I want to give it a name. Any ideas?
#German vice-chancellor 'deeply ashamed' by lack of military support
Robert Habeck has apologised directly to President Zelensky for Germany's apparent sluggishness in responding to the Ukraine crisis.
Mr Halbeck was meeting with the President as part of bi-lateral talks during a visit to Ukraine.

@StillIRise1963 Certainly one of them. Online shopping was another. Yeah, it was convenient. Convenient for monopolists. America's decline didn't start with Amazon, but sure has helped decimate cites and towns across America. We don't talk about either. Which is partly why I believe so many young progressives can only talk about human rights and power differentials. It's really all they hear about from thought leaders, today. The Fediverse "might" change that. Might.
Listen,luvs . I'm going to "like" a toot I read.
The writer should know their toot was read. It's the least we can do for each other in my opinion.
How many times have you read toots about people that feel they are not being seen or "no one reads me so why bother?"
So yeah, I'm liking toots and if that makes me not cool or old ..well, okay..and by the way I still say pocketbook too.
Trump Indictment Malaysian perspective
Americans are understandably excited about the #TrumpIndictment
Just want to say that in #Malaysia, we have prime ministers who ARE in prison, WERE in prison or HEADING to prison.
You can say that we're highly experienced in the field of sending our leaders to jail.
Malaysia boleh! π
@ScottSoCal Gotcha. The Dispatcher books are still great stuff. I recommend giving them a read if you havenβt.
