100 Leopards to Ukraine!
Denmark's Acting Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said this at a briefing with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov at the Ukraine β Odesa Media Center.
"We will start delivering Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine before summer. And then, hopefully, looking half a year ahead, it will be possible for us to donate about 100 Leopard 1 tanks, and that, I'll say, would be a substantial thing for Ukraine's army," Poulsen said

If I want to give a genuine, nuanced answer to a hard question, I have to break eye contact, look away, and usually drastically change my body language as I process and share a response
Which is the exact opposite of what most neurotypical people expect to see from someone being genuine and openly honest
I should probably share that more, in case there are people who don't pick up on that
There are only a handful of topics where I will avoid either giving an honest answer or explaining why I won't. Those are not typical conversation topics.
@ScottSoCal @UncleDuke1969 If oxygen is good for me, why do my vitamins contain antioxidants?
Do you know how it feels to want to help someone you love but not knowing how?
I wrote a song about this feeling called Hopes, and my queer friends joined me for a video with fire spinning and knives throwing, emphasising the metaphysical aspect of a universe with endless possibilities. If you'd like, have a listen. I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.
Now that #NPR left #Twitter and many on #Mastodon are calling for it to come to the #Fediverse, maybe it's time for a recap, what we @heiseonline did?
Our account on mastodon.social (@heiseonline@mastodon.social) was registered (rather "claimed") years ago, but left dormant until #ElonMusk bought #Twitter. Then I started to post a couple of links to #news articles every day. Our web-devs (namely @entropie) verified the account some days later by adding a link to it on heise.de and giving it the green link.
π Hello #fediverse! I'm going into a meeting at 4ET to talk about our newsroom's social media options.
If you think our station and other #NPR stations should have a Mastodon server and a broader presence in the #fediverse, pls boost this post. If you have thoughts, please reply, I want to hear them!
Anyone I see who's playing along in the "lets carry #StarTrekPicard spoilers around the internet" game gets blocked.
And I don't care how vague these spoilers might be.
This is not a threat, but me telling everybody who wants to hear it or not that I simply have no iota of understanding of that kind of stuff. Go away and find some other thing you can do.
βEven if Twitter were to drop the designation altogether, [NPR CEO John] Lansing says the network will not immediately return to the platform. 'At this point I have lost my faith in the decision-making at Twitter,' he says. 'I would need some time to understand whether Twitter can be trusted again.' β https://www.npr.org/2023/04/12/1169269161/npr-leaves-twitter-government-funded-media-label

@indigenous_commentator Words fail me. I feel sick to my stomach for you and your fellow native Americans.
I found my car battery had died, parked in a somewhat rough part of town. I stood beside it with jumper cables in my hand, and tried to catch the eye of folks passing by in their cars. Most wouldn't look at me.
Then a fellow in a van stopped and said, "Need a jump?"... and he helped me out.
I thanked him and offered him a few bucks afterwards. He said, "No way, buddy β just pay it forward!"
That was 35 years ago.
I still remember him. β€οΈ
