This was something I had failed to consider. Police departments in the US are standing armies. This might be why we don't protest like the French. Police in the US are far too militarized without all of the training.

@StillIRise1963 Mississippi is ranked overall 49th in healthcare. It has one of the highest rates of uninsured citizens. The state is one of only 10 that have not expanded Medicaid. State supreme court quashed an initiative that would have put Medicaid expansion on the ballot in 2021.
