Skye: Okay BunMum, I know it’s been a long week- I just had a nap and am nice and refreshed. I’ll finish the annual report off for you today! πŸ’» πŸ‡

Satori: Uhhh thanks Skye, I think I’ll be okay, no need for you to…

This is Walter, named for Walter Payton of the Chicago Bears. It’s a 1966 Chevy half ton pickup truck purchased for $360 by my oldest son Ryan in 2000 when we lived in Kansas. He was 14, had his learner’s permit and had money he earned delivering newspapers and mowing lawns. I had to teach him the fine art of shifting a β€œthree on the tree.” After Ryan was KIA in Iraq, Walter was restored to how Ryan planned to have it done. I take it to car shows when possible because my boy would if he could.

The GOP are calling for Biden to pardon Trump.

Why?

Would Trump do the same if their roles were reversed? Ahhhhh, Hell no.

I can’t believe the gaul of this guy, putting this plate on any car other than the Audi A2.

Ejaculation - The old way.

E-jaculation - The new way.

Everyone’s saying β€œchyron” today as though yesterday they didn’t think it was the alien enemy from Battlestar Galactica.

Have you ever asked yourself what you would be done in 1840-1860 or 1940-1960 regarding slavery and civil rights?

You're doing it.

Apparently, there is now a Patron Saint of copying people on an email.

It's St. Francis of a CC.

As Juneteenth approaches, I find myself filled with reflection more than celebration. This has not been a good year for my family or myself. It's been a battle against racism, flat out, in workplaces and in public services.

Racism is frustrating. It isn't something that I can opt-in or opt-out of either. It's ever present and insidious. It is a drain on mental and physical health.

I don't normally link to Vox, but I read this article and was like "yup" - vox.com/race/23739082/discrimi

This is Forever in a Seashell.
I'm having a low day and in need of knowing my art isn't pointless, so I'm uploading a spoken word audio that is yet to be finally edited amd hope it will mean something to someone. It's about when feelings overlap in a relationship, when boundaries are unclear and both partners don't know how to overcome a difficulty in their relationship and the effects of it on their mental health. I'd love to hear your thoughts ❀️

BORG: We are the Borg. Resistance is futile.
MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER: Why?
BORG: We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own.
5YO: Why?
BORG: To expand the collective.
5YO: Why?
BORG: So that we may achieve perfection.
5YO: Why?
BORG: To reach the pinnacle of our evolution.
5YO: Why?
BORG: *sigh* Because it’s just something we do, ok?
5YO: Why?
BORG: … you know what? F this …*opens a transwarp conduit and leaves*

Blue leg.

Here are a couple of tufted titmice (Baeolophus bicolor). I know there are hard core titmouse fans. When I was looking at this photo, I noticed that one bird has one blue leg and the other three legs between the two birds are grayish pink. Odd, maybe a trick of light?

"Tufted Titmice nest in tree holes (and nest boxes), but they can’t excavate their own nest cavities. Instead, they use natural holes and cavities left by woodpeckers. These species’ dependence on dead wood for their homes is one reason why it’s important to allow dead trees to remain in forests rather than cutting them down." - allaboutbirds.org

Exciting news: Illinois bans...book bans. bookriot.com/illinois-has-offi

Gov. Petzker: "Young people shouldn’t be kept from learning about the realities of our world; I want them to become critical thinkers, exposed to ideas that they disagree with, proud of what our nation has overcome, and thoughtful about what comes next. Everyone deserves to see themselves reflected in the books they read, the art they see, the history they learn."

This is what true leadership looks like.

Here's a break from the TFG news.

Democrats have been asking for seven years why the media haven't been coming to food coops, Pride, and downtown summer festivals to find out what Clinton and Biden voters think instead of spending so much time at the small town diner to find out what the red hat brigade wants.

So many candidates tout their small-town values. Paul Waldman suggests that we want candidates with big-city values. Cities are complicated and ever-changing.

Another reply person is arriving soon. I'm sorry, my shift is over. Union rules.

FACT: Donald Trump has now been arrested more times than he has won an election.

All Five Eyes countries should be filing charges of espionage against trump and his personal lackeys for exposing our national security secrets and intelligence apparatus to his Saudi pals and others. Extradite and nail this scumbag. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡³πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί #TraitorTrump
