Me: *ignores* Jams out to music
Another Random Guy: Hey! Over here! Can you tell me if this is the bus that gets you there?
Sign: *Bus that gets you there*
Me: Can't you read? π€¨π Can't you see that I have my "Leave me the fuck alone" gear on?
I have just completed a series of international conversations β with President of the United States Biden, with Prime Minister of Canada Trudeau, and with President of Poland Andrzej Duda. Positive conversations that are very necessary right now for all of us.
Of course, we discussed the hostilities on the frontline, our active actions. I thanked our partners for the support provided β it is very significant and appreciated

Redundant just reached 12k views. This is a project about conversion therapy in the UK, telling the stories of transgender and nonbinary people in the UK. Can we get it to 13k views? Would you share it with a friend? Thank you β€οΈ

I have been highly masking for more than 20 years which led me into #autisticburnout and made me suicidal.
So, by need of survival, I mask a little less in some situations.
I'm out to some ppl. Most try to be compassionate and understanding, but still I get a lot of FB like "Come on, it's not that bad. Just relax. Why can't you be more X and less Y?" etc, esp. by my husband.
I can't do it anymore, but I'm so afraid they find out how weird, awkward, weak and pathetic I am.
I absolutely adore the whimsical #art of 3D sidewalk chalk artist David Zinn. https://zinnart.com
Zinn creates delightful βworks of ephemeral pareidolic anamorphosisβ inspired by weeds, sewer covers, traffic cones & nearly everything he encounters around his Ann Arbor community.
@yourautisticlife given the rejection sensitivity from my childhood, I feel similarly about the "just do it" idea. The traumatic experiences that have been cemented in and being told "just apply for a job "knowing about the guaranteed failure or "just go out and be social to make friends" when I keep freezing up.
I would, like you, actually like to see such people who claim "just do it" experience what it's like for one month when issues arise and are dismissed.

I can make arguments for each of these characters as being coded autistic
* Jack (30 Rock)
* Hiccup (How to Train a Dragon)
* Leon AND Matildè (The Professional)
* Matthew Murdock (Daredevil)
* Napoleon Dynamite
@theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic @actuallyautistics I've seen so many cases of #3!
Mine was an odd journey. I spent my whole life feeling like a weirdo, and having people assume it was just because I was "gifted" -- or innumerable other less complementary assumptions about my personality. Then, when I was 26, I saw a TV special on Daniel Tammet. I was captivated because I saw so much of myself on the screen, which had never happened for me before. And they mentioned Asperger's. First thing I did was hit Wikipedia. And by the end of the day, I had a word for what I am. 13 years later, I finally got a formal diagnosis.
Most people have probably already forgotten that several months ago, the Biden admin stopped a nationwide rail strike (over sick days) that might have screwed the economy. This made unions and union supporters very unhappy, and few believed the President when he said heβd get them their sick days. But with the help of Bernie Sanders, he has done it. They got the RR workers what they needed AND avoided a crippling strike. This is a big win for everyone that will probably go unnoticed. http://www.ibew.org/media-center/Articles/23Daily/2306/230620_IBEWandPaid
