The Astoria Grande cruise ship with Russian tourists on board departed from the Georgian city of Batumi two days ahead of schedule under pressure from local protesters.
Residents of Batumi gathered near the liner and chanted "Russian ship, go f**k yourself" and "Abkhazia is Georgia", and also brought photos depicting Abkhazia and the events of the August war.

FEDIVERSE NOTICE -- PLEASE BOOST! β
β
To all Calckey.social users:
The preparations are finally complete. We will be migrating to firefish.social soon. All your posts, dms, etc will be in-tact.
To all Fediverse server admins:
You and your users will probably see a lot of follows from firefish.social. Please don't be alarmed, this is going to be the result of everyone migrating their account at once. Since there are only ~2500 users here, it hopefully shouldn't be too much pressure on your servers, but to be safe, it's slightly staggered to avoid bombarding a server all at once.
@Cassandra There is also a reading of Disabled that is full of pride! Yes, rage at how society alienates us is usually included in that. But being Disabled (including Autistic) is something to be proud of. Society wants us to feel shame and stigma, but we can unpack that exist as Autists/Disabled in our own ways. β

So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
