Before supper last night, I whipped up a chocolate cake, because it's CHOCOLATE CAKE… and we didn't have any around.

This breaks every rule in the book, but I'm having lunch cake today too.

My Wife: Now don't eat all of the cake at once

Me: sorry I'm driving and you're breaking up

My Wife: I'm right here in the passenger seat!

I think my dog is a Gumby/Lab mix. Maybe I should have named him Gumby. Then when someone asks his name , I could say “He’s Gumby dammit!”

Good news today: A coalition of 25 state governors announced a major push to reach 20M deployed heat pumps by 2030 -would represent a quadrupling of the number of heat pumps installed in 2020. Heat pumps are energy efficient replacements for furnaces & ACs -use electricity to transfer heat, as opposed to generate heat & can either heat a building when it is cold outside or cool a building when it is hot outside.

I love the weird, overly annunciated voice people use when responding to automated customer service voice prompts. I just walked by a colleague's office (who is clearly trying to get into his bank account via phone) and heard him practically bellow:

"LOG IN"

(Ten seconds of silence)

"CHECK-KING ACCOUNT"

(Another ten seconds of silence)

"YES"

(silence)

"CUSS-TUH-MER SER-VICE"

It's 'person with allism' actually.
