PSA:
This was a rough week in my area with dogs getting dumped by the side of the parkway or chained to a pole in the rain at a store and left there.
If you can't keep your dog, please, please, please don't just dump them. Take them to your nearest animal shelter and tell them you can't keep them anymore. And if you have to, leave them at a shelter where they will be found quickly and not left out in the elements for hours.
They loved you and trusted you. Don't traumatize them by just dumping them. ๐ญ
@joaopinheiro @clive "Half of America" is NOT pro-Trump. An oppressive system amplifying the wishes of oligarchy and supported by fascist minority, THAT is what is pro-Trump.
So basically, Macron scared the bejesus out of sane France and they came together to assure the fascists would not win. That is what should be happening in the US if we would get our act together and tell media's baying bloodhounds to fuck off and prioritize democracy. https://www.lemonde.fr/en/france/article/2024/07/07/french-elections-left-projected-to-win-most-seats-ahead-of-macron-s-coalition-and-far-right_6676978_7.html
Also, tell your friends about All. The. Things. Biden has done so far.
โ Created millions of jobs;
โ Taxed corporations not families;
โ Got US climate action going in a big way;
โ Capped the cost of insulin at $35 a month;
โ Incentives on Made In America;
โ Made it easier to get birth control pills;
โ Student debt relief,
โ Made a string of clean energy projects happen...
and on an on. The list is long, and a lot of people don't know about all this.
@StillIRise1963 Their editorial staff has had MANY opportunities to stop, think, and breathe, count to ten, and ask, "hey, are we holding these two candidates to the same standard, or are we fixating on criticizing everything about one candidate while ignoring all the valid critiques of the other candidate?"
ANY one of us in the same position could and would be asking that question. It's a fair question to ask. It's an editor's responsibility in any serious news organization to question whether their coverage is fair.
It's clear that they're either deliberately not asking the question, or worse, they ARE asking the question, and deciding to persist in their course of action anyway, knowing full well that they've opted to write Stupid a pass for his behavior while scrutinizing Biden under a microscope for his every word and deed.
We went shopping yesterday here in Canada, had such a nice long chat with the store owners, who were wonderful.
One thing they brought up:
Ever since Trump(ism), language has coarsened here in Canada and tribalism has increased. Recently, they were stunned by their own son's language and when they admonished him, his reply? "Free speech!"
They had a long discussion with him about what that meant and set him straight (they hope).
That's the short version of the convo

Bidenโs name never appeared in Epsteinโs flight logs. But Trumpโs name appeared 69 times. 69!

Biden could be a gray wig on a broomstick and we'd be better off electing him than trump. Because Biden won't eradicate all the federal agencies, surround himself with nazis, fire all the experts and dedicated civil servants and turn the government into the church of trump.
@ScottSoCal Wow! Who would have thought?! ๐ฎ Are you happy with your solar panels overall? Iโve wondered if we should get some.
