1: i haven't really been active in the furry scene until recently i guess! i went to my first con a few months ago, which was really cool. been hanging out with furries and furry-adjacents for quite a while though, probably about four or five years?

ive had a fursona for a lot longer though, probably about ten years

2: I think i first discovered the furry fandom just through osmosis? I was really into Jazz Jackrabbit as a kid and that's basically a furry series, so one thing led to another and being Extremely Online as a teen led me into the world.

3: i feel like the furry community doesn't interrogate me as much as other spaces? i don't need to "prove" im a furry and if im into this niche or that its just generally treated as whatevs, not some weird war i gotta pick sides in.

coming from gaming communities that's very refreshing. i also appreciate (in comparison) that the community has so many adults, women, LGBT+, not all cishet teenage boys and their idols.

4: my first fursona is still my handle in a lot of places - Shade is an andro bunny who is like Luna but more boring. I made them when i was a teen and just held on for years until i began transitioning. They're essentially retired now.
