GOOGLE WAS JUST RULED A MONOPOLY!

This wild day just got wilder! 😲

Here’s what the judge wrote:

After having carefully considered and weighed the witness testimony and evidence, the court reaches the following conclusion: Google is a monopolist, and it has acted as one to maintain its monopoly. It has violated Section 2 of the Sherman Act.

This ruling won’t just affect Google but also Apple, Amazon, Meta, and every other Big Tech company that the DOJ is going after!

Let me be blunt. After decades of not doing anything about tech monopolies, the U.S. government just showed it is not playing games!

@Calined Oh boy... I am infamously bad with checklists. I used to have a trello for game dev stuff but it went unused for a long time. (over a year)

My wife told me to take the spider out instead of killing him.

Went out. Had a few drinks. Nice guy. He's a web designer.

btw if you think yumi, yuzu's mom, is hilarious, then good news! she stars as the protagonist in her own game, kitsune zero!

you can buy it as dlc on steam (store.steampowered.com/app/194) or standalone on itch (eniko.itch.io/kitsunezero)

Nonolith is a puzzle game with secret rules that you learn over time. You're very ridiculously powerful, you just don't know it yet

This world holds more than you know

The problem with being a programmer with ADHD is that it's often more fun to build a chainsaw from scratch than it is to chop down a tree by hand with an axe.

I never thought I'd find any underwater enemy scarier than the Dopefish 😱 🦊 🐟

@Calined leaving the scoping issues aside, I feel I don't always have a direction to follow.

I typically start by messing around with whatever engine I have available (usually Pico-8 or Godot) or mentally developing an idea in my mind, but I find it difficult to create a development plan and stick to it.

I believe that knowing what to do next and having other tasks to do if I'm stuck with something will help me prevent burnout, but I seem to have awfully poor planning and discipline.

I've been studying game dev as a hobby for years but I struggle with the practical stuff.

Making a plan, sticking to it, staying within a reasonable scope, not working myself till burnout... these are all things I've done with poor results and I'm not sure what I can do to prevent further frustration. Any advice?

The "weird” strategy was laid out by a genius long ago

Who's your favorite kappa racer in Magma Marathon in #KitsuneTails?

@TonicBH Not too shabby! I went through most of Kitsune Tails already and now I'm thinking of what to do
