Yeah, this is a lost cause.
I mean, it works, but it doesn't look very good.
But hey, I've got a nice looking printable version!
And I guess you can fill it out in LibreOffice, too, though I won't guarantee that it won't look completely different on someone else's computer πŸ˜…

consumerism

I've been conditioned to buy these bundles.
I have to restrain myself from buying this one.
I already own all the books! Most of them on ACTUAL PAPER in addition to the PDFs!

I'm not joking, just making light of it.

@hardcorenarrativist The big campaign "The Darkening of Mirkwood" (which is actually rather sparse in actual adventure content, requiring a log of improvisation by the "Loremaster") has been hailed as one of the the top campaigns of all time by a few peeps I read.

@hardcorenarrativist I really love it.
I've been a huge Tolkien nerd in the past, and this game has kinda rekindled that flame.
It is set between Hobbit and LotR, and shows a living, breathing, BELIEVABLE Middle-Earth.
Obviously deviating from written canon, but in a way that feels very true to the original writings (imo).

The has the excellent (my opinion), award-winning (someone else's opinion) for sale. The whole line for just $15!

(No referral link, I don't earn a single cent from this.)

This is one of my favorite RPGs!
It is set in , the world from the and the . It is very atmospheric and while obviously making stuff up true IN SPIRIT to Tolkien's writing (my opinion, again).
Go get it, it's a steal for $15!

@takelgryph I might be wrong, but I suspect that many (most?) German translations for games aren't done by professional translators, and quite likely rather piecemeal, instead of treating it like - say - a novel.
I know for a fact that some video games are translated that way, and it really shows.

@takelgryph It *is* rather popular, yes, there are several Germany-specific source books, iirc.
I can't speak to the translation, though, it's been ages since I read anything from it.
I'll just assume it's awful though.
Maybe I just don't like German?

@hardcorenarrativist For paper only, sure.
But I like to be able to fill them out on the computer.

Btw, ' German translation SUUUUUCKS.
Tbf, I've never seen an RPG that translated well into German πŸ€”

Hnnng. Too many social networks/chats/messengers.
I need some kind of meta-client... (yeah, right...)

If you think that sounds like a nightmare, you don't know the half of it.
But I don't have spoons to learn how to use a DTP program right now 😐

I hope I will be able to export it as a form-fillable PDF somehow.

What do I do when I'm depressed?
Apparently I start working on character sheets in LibreOffice Writer...

*sighs*

mental illness, musing about things

I want to write a game, but I'm too anxious.
I want to play a game, but I'm too depressed.

cops, #acab

Saw some wannabe cops ("private security") harass people on public property... I don't know what it was about, but I doubt they can "ban" them from the street as they threatened to do.

@joereddington Yeah, that one cracked me up πŸ˜‚
The whole mythology of that series is pretty dang sweet.
