I don't know how to write a #userscript for #greasemonkey!
Tbf, I don't know much #javascript, either...
It runs fine in the browser console, but if I run it from greasemonkey it says the elements of the page I want to interact with are null...
I'd love to release this, but I need #help!
I love mupdf, because of how simple it is and how fast it loads pdfs, but it doesn't support having 2 pages open side by side.
Is there any pdf viewer that is:
* available on linux
* loads really fast
* doesn't have huge chunks of gui (preferrably none)
* and supports 2 pages side by side?
(boosts ok)
You know what they should make a high budget TV show of?
#BattleTech
This is going to take a little longer than I expected.
A proof of concept is apparently not a finished script π€
cc0.oer-musik.de/Musik <- Bunch of digitized public domain recordings!
(At least in Germany π )
Huh, TIL that recordings that were released before 1963 are in the Public Domain in Germany!
But the music itself is still under copyright if the composer has not been dead for at least 70 years... so many recordings of the giants of classical music are completely free, but the giants of jazz still hold on to their copyrights...
Wonder what that means for using the original recordings, though...
Help! We need art!
We are planning something, and we would need someone to do some simple illustrations involving humans. By "simple", I mean outlining the body, eyes and mouth. No clothes, no hair, and as gender neutral as possible.
If you are able to do that, please send a couple of samples in DM. Otherwise, boosting this toot or mentioning your artsy friends helps a lot.
Anybody in #Europe want to buy my #GPDWin?
Like new, I barely ever used it.
It's a 5" handheld that runs Windows 10, the full x86 version!
Has a built-in keyboard and Xbox 360 style controller, in the form factor of a 3DS XL.
It's actually really cool if you're into PC #videogames on the go.
Which, it turns out, I'm not! π¦
food, pol (-)
And while we're at it: How come that bananas, which don't grow locally AT ALL, are the cheapest fruit at the supermarket?
How little are the people doing the actual care and harvest paid, that even transporting them thousands of kilometers doesn't make them more expensive than locally grown fruit?
food, technology (+)
I love how modern technology and millennia-old breeding techniques combine to allow me to buy *locally harvested* apples at the farmer's market year round.
These aren't imported from the opposite side of the world, they were transported less than 100 kilometers!
And I can buy them every week, for the whole year!
Sure, not always the cultivars, but I can always find one that I like!
Now... to breed cherries and strawberries like that...!
