Oh, and I forgot to mention it's 80% filler, 90% if you don't count the two good episodes.
It's like they took two episodes and stretched them out into a season by adding bullshit that is later undone without any consequences.
I finished #LegendOfKorra Season 2... and... UUUUUGH.
It's so VERY VERY BAD.
I don't remember the last time I consumed such an abysmal piece of media.
There are two good episodes in the middle ("The Beginning, Pt. 1 & 2), but the rest is complete shit, 100% skippable.
It makes no sense, is out of character, has horrible dialogue, continuity errors, and so so so much bullshit hand-waving instead of plot.
It has no redeeming features. Take the two good episodes in isolation and trash the rest.
I would like to play #Rippers, a myth-mashup, alt-history #RPG, which I own pretty much everything of.
Buuuut, the game assumes that you play as Victorian English-people (and their European allies and foes) who go around to all the colonies where they link up with other colonizers to fight mythological (often indigenous) evil...
I need to think of a way to turn this on it's head... while still having white European players... π
selfie, eye contact
I know the pictures aren't actually in my bathroom. My bathroom is a mess, so I took the picture somewhere else.
I also took time to shave my face and brush my hair. Because I'm vain π

INT. TOBI'S APARTMENT - BATHROOM - DAY
TOBI stands in front of their sink and bathroom mirror, shaving the left side of their head while perfectly lipsyncing DAFT PUNK'S "HARDER BETTER FASTER STRONGER".

Now mind you, my hair will be a lot fluffier once it's dry!

(traditional) tabletop roleplaying
in response to a question about a problematic player:
"We had to explain the social contract of traditional RPGs to him.
There are a few things expected of all PCs:
β£ PCs are expected to get along to some degree
β£ PCs will (in the gross majority of cases) not willfully act against the party
β£ PCs generally give other PCs the benefit of the doubt
β£ PCs will buy-in (to the game and the collective story)"
Okey, here's a theory for why Disney is pushing Kylo Ren especially.
They want to establish Star Wars as "Disney Princesses For Boys", but out of the human, young characters Kylo is the only one who's white and male, and because they're still racist, misogynist shitheads that's the character they push on all the boys.
Also... Darth Vader committed/assisted in at least one genocide and Storm Troopers are often shown murdering civilians... I feel uncomfortable with them being "cool" , "for children" (apparently!), and... a commercial product in general...
It's so odd... on the one hand I've pretty much given up on #StarWars (since the prequels, the sequels merely failed to re-ignite my interest), on the other hand it bothers me when they "change" "the lore" π
And on a third hand, even though it's probably always been that way, and I just failed to notice, I feel like Star Wars "sold out", since being sold to Disney?
Have there always been Darth Vader backpacks and Storm Trooper socks at the mall?
Case Closed/Meitantei Conan creepy pasta (if that's the right word)
The parents of these children feign normalcy (except for "little" Conan's caretaker Kogoro, Ran's father, who simply fails to notice).
The Doctor has the children "solve crimes", which he elaborately stages with help of the police department, possibly under the control of the powerful business magnate Sonoko, and involving her friend Ran and her father.
It is unclear what sway they have over the police, as are their motives.
