My dad suggested I go find trans support groups, and find a group of people who'd be accepting of me dressing more femme in a public environment.

Two things I did well before even coming out to him about the whole gender thing.

His heart's in the right place, at least.

I went back to sleep for a bit.

Before I properly fell asleep, I started thinking about someone I knew on birdsite who always talked about being touch starved.

How painful it was for her to not have someone to hold, hug or caress.

I realized I have the same problem, as I held onto a pillow wishing it was someone hugging me back.

Being touch starved really sucks.

blurgh, it's early in the morning and I'd rather be back in bed, snuggling

of course about an hour after this conversation, I immediately buy two pairs of socks from sock dreams that I've been eyeballing for a few days, haha

After going to therapy for several months, hemming and hawing over it months after, my dad asked what the therapy thing was about.

I told him I was non-binary and possibly had gender dysphoria.

He was supportive, saying, "Do what you want to do, it doesn't matter to me."

I genuinely feel a sense of relief and also a bit of happiness realizing it went the way I expected it to.

I already go through this garbage with dad hating Sanders because of the "Bernie Bro" movement, and absolutely detesting AOC for even daring to speak up for anything.

This is why I hate talking politics to him, I can't get him to understand the dire situation my generation is stuck under. His thought process comes off as selfish.

My dad watched the debates, and just on that alone he said he'd support Tom Steyer, because "Bernie and Biden are old and senile" and Warren is "the female Hitler."

His reason for supporting the rich guy who has no chance? "He said 'We gotta get Donald Trump out!'"

That didn't really work well in 2016, you need fucking policies to run on to be successful.

@Jo You probably weren't asking for a real answer, but here goes:

A fair share of stuff I collected over the years came from lots, so I think I bought at least one full NES set just so I could get the games within. Thus I have more NES controllers (and Zappers) than I know what to do with.

I was digging through my closet to find my Nintendo 64 stuff and I realize that I have a lot of junk controllers and stuff I really don't need.

I think I found like, 5-6 NES controllers? who needs more than two
