New Secret Area post: It's The Last of Us.
A late PS3-era critical darling that spawned a popular prestige TV show. Too bad the game itself sucks.
Also I talk a bit about whether Roger Ebert was right about games not being art, using this as an example.
Shares and comments appreciated, as always.

I wanna find out more behind-the-scenes stuff like this
like how the joker's wild had to use a custom rig to spin and stop three slide projectors to simulate the spinning "reels" of a slot machine.
forgot a 1970s game show used a bunch of Apple IIs hooked up to an Altair computer for its gameboard.
technology on game shows are wild, y'all

was watching an Australian game show (The New Price is Right) and that was one of the prizes on offer
I have a question for my aussie friends: why did you have a van called the Jackaroo????
@Joshi there was a similar game show from a few years ago where the grand prize was paying off student loans
surprisingly the social media reaction seemed to be "wow this has what society is now, huh? we live in hell"
I imagine Debt would've had the same had social media existed in 1997 beyond USENET and IRC
I'm making this poll because I've shown the show to a few folks who are not huge game show nerds like me, and they seem flabbergasted at the concept from the get-go
Despite it being (mostly) a mundane Jeopardy! clone.
