To me, if I rip the whole album (or about 90% of it), that's an *amazing* album. Lots of bangers.

Meanwhile, for other albums are I'm like "I'll take the song that made you famous and maybe this minor hit/album cut, thank you."

I'm not stuffing my hard drive with junk songs.

Had a conversation about ripping music and I feel like a weirdo when I say I only rip songs I like and not the whole album.

My reasoning: Why would I want an MP3 of a song I didn't enjoy listening to and would rather forget?

"This song is a downloadable track for the video game Rock Band 3 which features PRO instrumentation for real guitar/bass, electronic drums and keyboards."

Some variant in this has been in a *bunch* of song articles I've read over the years, and it looks more and more ridiculous as time goes on.

Love to constantly go to Wikipedia pages for popular songs and have to remove less-than-subtle advertisements for Rock Band 3.

It's weird to listen to Lenny Kravitz's Fly Away on the radio and not hear him talk about wanting milky ways and getting fucking high.

It sucks that foobar2000's game emu player has weird hangups like not enabling M3U support for GBS/NSF, or being able to adjust individual track times.

Is it any wonder why I still use Winamp with 5-10 different media plugins? Because they *work* without any weird hangups.

I keep forgetting I have the Matrix Lobby music in my MP3 collection.

It's still a banging song 20 years later.

I'm doing this for my own mental health, because for a while I was so engrossed in political news/theater that I just kept getting so emotionally depressed.

I got to the point where I felt everything was hopeless.

At one point I left a discord server because I got incredibly emotional with people. I eventually rejoined, but it just made me reconsider how I look at US politics right now, and likely for the future.
