was watching an Australian game show (The New Price is Right) and that was one of the prizes on offer
I have a question for my aussie friends: why did you have a van called the Jackaroo????
I'm making this poll because I've shown the show to a few folks who are not huge game show nerds like me, and they seem flabbergasted at the concept from the get-go
Despite it being (mostly) a mundane Jeopardy! clone.
Today I was reminded that old online chats offered context awareness for the people online: you knew you won't be a bother to a friend who has a smiley flower as a status; and you knew you might not be getting a quick reply from someone who's Away.
Today I don't even know if my friends are online or not. The messenger apps make the assumption that everyone is online, and if not, they will receive a push notification, and will reply to you as soon as possible. But this assumption is barely true. I bet it makes lives harder, especially for ND people
re: pain, rant
A bit on the mend today but the pain's still kinda there.
I think this back and body pain, despite it not being debilitating, is making me at least feel miserable and irritable, especially when talking with folks.
Apologies in advance if I feel a bit snippy at the moment.
re: pain, rant
Last night was me struggling to move as I felt a modest amount of pain around my back and upper body. A general, dull ache.
Even after resting I don't feel better.
I have an immense fear that this will become "the new normal" for me, and I am genuinely scared about that.
pain, rant
I don't talk much about my personal problems these days, but I have been feeling back pain and other kinds of pain for the past month and some days are more bearable than others
I got a new chair which has helped, but I'm still feeling that ache
I can't tell if it's aging, or I have a genuine problem, and I'm kinda worried, ngl
