@ticky Computers small enough to sit *on* a desk & not *be* a desk in its own right, & affordable enough to be in someone's home, had just hit the market, & 2018 sounded as far off into the 21st Century as anything the Jetsons promised. Mystifying, very mystifying, but believable.

@ctrlaltdog@chitter.xyz @monorail The benefits of self-readings are obvious, but the drawbacks are mainly the need for self-discipline while shuffling the deck to ensure you're not consciously aware of the cards' positions & orientations, & to interpret the cards with balanced rigidity & fluidity of meanings as appropriate for the tradition of draw & reading you're doing.
