A 12 year old child in the United States or Canada and arguably in many other countries can get the highest level of a ham radio license and theoretically build or service a 1500 watt tube amplifier. This exposes them to lethal voltages. They are however forbidden from participating in “social media”.

If you use a eraser to correct a typo, remember to slide the carriage to the extreme end first, using the margin release lever if you need to, so that eraser bits don't fall in and gum up the works.

I just realized that, if your main coding PC has a document scanner and OCR software, like a cheap flatbed and Tesseract for example, then you could, at least in theory, use a manual in your favorite hideaway as the ultimate distraction-free code authoring tool.

If your typewriter doesn't have a delete key, then take along a typewriter eraser and a writing correction tape.
