Every proposal I’ve seen to carve up the United States has the territory redistributed between Canada, Mexico, other European countries, sometimes states becoming independent countries themselves, but I’ve never seen a single one that just. If you use a eraser to correct a typo, remember to slide the carriage to the extreme end first, using the margin release lever if you need to, so that eraser bits don't fall in and gum up the works.

I just realized that, if your main coding PC has a document scanner and OCR software, like a cheap flatbed and Tesseract for example, then you could, at least in theory, use a manual in your favorite hideaway as the ultimate distraction-free code authoring tool.

If your typewriter doesn't have a delete key, then take along a typewriter eraser and a writing correction tape.
