Minecraft

So, earlier today, I finally beat the ender dragon for the first time in survival. What next? Well, I've decided to pivot to the absurd: cactus and sugar cane all the way up to the height limit. This is only the beginning.

Re: Kat brags for a bit

Here's a redacted version of that news article. Technically, based on my last name (or perhaps you could also make out my first name), you *could* find out what school I went to, but I'll leave that as a challenge to the reader (ya fuckin' creepy stalker).

(And don't think of googling the headline. That article was print only. Heheheh.)

Doing a crossword and, uh, am I *wrong*?

A little thing I quickly did up in illustrator after yesterday's bi flag fiasco. Use it as you will

A minor correction to my post here. Nothing major, but I did get the heartbeat slightly wrong. Q is actually a small downwave at the beginning of the QRS complex. My point still stands, particularly as I got most of the ECG right, but it's worth correcting. Also, there's something called a U wave. Not majorly important, usually doesn't even show up, but, that's there, in case you cared.

Now, that said, it does seem similar to the ECG output corresponding to 3rd degree heart block (shown below). Something tells me, though, that the game devs didn't do that on purpose and kinda just drew what they thought a heartbeat looks like.

Here's an ECG from a game, with a rough scribbled on normal heartbeat for comparison. Notice how the game's ECG lacks a T wave and seemingly is missing that Q interval (or it has no P wave and 2 RS complexes). This bugs me intensely.

Covid, photography

Yesterday, I walked to a nearby park only to discover a depressing scene. Today, I walked back with my phone to document it.

Took ten tries to get the video small enough, but here ya go. The shitty wafer lock on my desk.

Reminds me of that thing about opening a car door with a popsicle stick. (Yes, those are also wafer locks.)

On meds and trademarks

I'm looking through a textbook for EMTs and, uh, I'd just like to call attention to the fact it refers to the Auvi-Q epinephrine autoinjector as "An Auvi-Q EpiPen". Yes, a textbook for EMTs uses "EpiPen" as a generic term for an epinephrine autoinjector. Just sayin'

(From "Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured")

Covid, selfie, ec

The one upside to covid is that it's made wearing a respirator in public socially acceptable. Now if only we could make collars socially acceptable...

So, for a discussion on visualizing earths history in my geo class, I mocked up my idea of using a 4K television. Does, uh, this look familiar to anyone else?

(Spoiler alert: I accidentally created an upside down—and a bit distorted—polya pride flag.)

Oh, goodie goodie. I'm *required* to use LockDown Browser to take quizzes for my chem class. Now, this would be bad enough on its own (it's a horribly invasive and perfectly useless piece of software), but I can't even install the damn thing! No matter how many times I try redownloading, I always get the same error. And this is before the issues I've heard others have had with getting it to work under Wine. If anyone has suggestions, let me know before midnight, would ya?
