It's easy to believe that your conditions are fine, that you can put up with them. But once you get out, once you find better, and can heal and discover just how painful things really were, it's a big thing.
I'm more than grateful that I was able to get away, and even if my healing has been slow, even if I feel like I should be better off than I am by now, it's important. It really is.

Sometimes, I go quiet, whether on here or in real life. Sometimes, this is because I genuinely have nothing to say.
