The normal monkeys are every two beats (One Two Three Four). Those weird purple monkeys are on the and of 3 and 4. So, leading in would be
"One and Two and Three and Four and" where the two is the last normal monkey, then the purple monkeys on those two offbeats. They're both offbeat and double tempo. Hopefully that's helpful to someone out there.
