Windows is such a good operating system. I love having to wait five minutes while my computer freaks out repeatedly because there's some bug in my graphics driver that causes the external monitor to repeatedly connect and disconnect. /s
(And, of course, this is the newest version of the driver I can get, because of course it is.)

potentially just about the most complicated design put through one of these Panasonic pen typewriters, SVG traced from raster line art in Illustrator and optimised with vpype. took about 15 minutes to plot

Basically, solid 7.5/10. Maybe an 8.5/10. Go watch it. It's pretty good. 
Okay, so, this may come as a surprise if you've only ever heard of it, but that Sonic movie? It's actually fucking good! I know, I know. You might not think it. But, trust me. I just finished watching it with friends. It's good. (I mean, the product placement can be a bit egregious at times and some of the jokes can fall a bit flat, but, otherwise, it's seriously good.)

A thing I just learned: poppers and Viagra (or other ED drugs) absolutely should NOT be used together.
The combined vasodilation effects can cause blood pressure to plummet, which is a serious medical emergency.
I'm shocked that I only just learned this, or didn't have suspicions before. In fairness, popper use isn't too common in my circles. But like, that's a contraindication that I feel folks ought to be real clear about discussing.

this is almost definitely going to be controversial but...
if your fallback thought to deal with how terrible everything is is something like "it's okay because god has a plan for us we can't know"...
think about that for a second. if someone has a plan for your life that you can't even know about, let alone consent to, then in any other circumstance that is abuse.
if the entire point of our lives is to prove some sort of cosmic point, then i want no part of it. i didn't ask to be part of the world and i didn't ask to be part of whatever thing you're doing.

And to make sure we're clear here, this is not a rolling blackout. It was announced in advanced that there would be an outage at 16:00 today. But I heard that through mom and she never really mentioned why.
Things you better have a damn good reason to do: Intentionally cutting off power to part of a city for 30+ minutes in 30-35°C weather.

I've finished sleeping and I feel much better. I think it was more than just carsickness. I had been drinking a bunch of caffeine to help me stay up, and I might have had a bit too much. Combine that with a car ride, and you've got a recipe for disaster. But, yeah. Feeling better now.
