Lewd, probably 18+, kink

Those are probably the worst four lines of song I have ever written. They're not bad. They're just...bad, you know?

FreeBSD

Turns out, I don't have to reinstall everything from source. Told you it'd be worth it!

FreeBSD

In my quest to get my system set up how I want it, I have broken my system in such a way that I can't have all the applications I want to have installed installed at the same time without building them from the ports tree. I swear, though, this will be totally fucking worth it...

I hope...

Me being me, I guess

I mean, it's not really a surprise. There's a nice bit carved out of my desk from me playing with a pocket knife, my computers tend to be broken just from me screwing around, and when I was, like, 10, I had a multitool that my parents cut the knife off of that had a pair of scissors. I ended up using those scissors to start cutting into a seatbelt in the back of my dad's truck.

I can't really be trusted with anything. I just put a used spark plug into a power screwdriver like it was a bit and started drilling into the drywall of my apartment. I see why my parents never let me have a knife on my multitools and were always weary about letting me use power tools growing up. It's not that I would hurt myself. It's that I would end up destroying stuff that they needed

Not that anyone on CF needs to hear this, but...

Honestly, it's tagged that no one on Computer Fairies needs to hear this, but I'm honestly not sure if the people on Mastodon who need to hear this actually will.
Still, it bears saying.

Good for you, growing up playing Minecraft. I did too. That doesn't mean you have to shit on people who are growing up playing and enjoying Fortnite.

So, a confession: I *really* like 2005-era EA Sports games. I've been unironically playing the career modes of NASCAR 2005 and Fight Night Round 2, and I've really enjoyed them.
If you're the kinda person who'd shame me for this, fuck you. You're kinda a shit person.
Seriously, don't shame people for their taste in video games. I don't care how much you hate those games, let people enjoy the games they enjoy

FreeBSD, Bitching about GNU

I think part of it is the fact that it doesn't bother with GNU software, which, given my sudden shift towards hating the GNU Project, probably explains a lot of it.

Of course, half my bitching about software not working on FreeBSD is that the GNU Project has its tentacles SO ENTRENCHED into UNIX{,-like} software that everything expects their stuff to be there. Thanks, GNU Project. I hate it.

FreeBSD

FreeBSD is honestly one of the worst experiences I have *ever* had with an operating system. It only kinda works, I don't know how to do much compared to Arch Linux, and I can't use half the software I want to because it doesn't actually support FreeBSD.

BUT I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Seriously, despite being one of the worst experiences I've had with an OS, it feels SO much better than GNU/Linux ever did. I don't know why, but I love this operating system.

Now it's changed to a 1-4-6 to 1-4-b6 to 1-3-5, still in Cmaj. Still no particular song, just that chord progression.

I have the Cmaj I-IV-V-I scale progression stuck in my head. Not even a specific song. Just the chord pattern. What the utter fuck brain? What the fuck?
