The best part is, the lies started once I got a good job. When I was literally dumpster diving for food, nobody gave a shit about bothering me.
And before that, during Christmas break...being contacted by my sister about my mom being hospitalized, no details on with what, no messages, then a week later my mom is abruptly fine and nobody has any information on what was going on. If I sound paranoid it's because of shit like this. Absolute garbage people.
A few weeks before that, I was messaged about my cat being sick with literally no details provided. For all I know they could have been lying about that too. I love my shitty gaslighting family.
Then they wonder why I avoid the hell out of them.
Idk maybe because I don't want to get involved in miserable amounts of unnecessary and absurd drama
Like my sister getting married...in a month...but the date isn't set yet...and it wasn't mentioned to who...ok. That sounds real.
@melissasage followup: is godzilla the largest cryptid
Double followup: is god a cryptid
@melissasage
- supernatural abilities
- many conflicting eyewitness reports but nothing confirmable
- frequently found in natural settings
- claims of government conspiracies to hide or shut it down
@melissasage I think the moon is under international law, so....maybe? The UN probably has something on this. They ruled back in the 60s that no country could claim ownership of the moon
You just have to look at which periods you're told to admire: the Roman Empire, and the Renaissance. The Roman Empire is presented as a "civilising force", that brought "democracy" and "knowledge" to the uncultured lands it conquered, and established great infrastructure at the slight cost of large-scale slavery. The Renaissance, meanwhile, is often taught as beginning in 1492, the year of Columbus's encounter with the so-called New World and of the Spanish Reconquista.
@melissasage It's still annoying
Trans, guy of center, well over 18.
I'm in tech and it feels weird.
