- accusing someone else of being what they are in order to muddy the waters
- claiming that because something isn't perfect it should be entirely destroyed
- actively working to sabotage that thing that they're saying doesn't work perfectly
- trying to change the discussion to where exactly the line is drawn rather than which people are on the wrong side of the line
- blaming someone else for causing a problem that they themself created
- "we're not all irredeemably bad people" when accused of being or working with an irredeemably bad person
- just straight-up lying about what words mean and claiming things as fact that are exactly the opposite of easily-verifiable facts
