my parents really don't understand that if they want to get my attention they have to *CALL* me
not text, i don't see that shit unless i'm on my phone
@azushark I keep my phone on silent so not even calling me does any good. I can tell they picked up on that because when someone actually needs to reach me they tell someone to poke me on Discord.

@NovaSquirrel yeah the only reason I don't leave my phone completely on silent is because when I do get a phone call it's likely urgent
whether it be work (or currently a potential employer) or my mom needing something asap, it's probably important
I don't get scam calls too often either so it's generally almost always something important
but I have notification sounds off because hey, my phone gets a *ton* of pings because of discord and telegram (and formerly birdsite)
