unless I really am able to change the multiplier but only within 1.5
since 66.6x4.5 gets 300
(default multiplier is x6.0)
i should see if the 7.5 setting works i guess
that'd get 500 anyway
the only reason i'm able to overclock the Celeron is the fact the motherboard has jumpers for the FSB settings lmao
i still have no idea how a 400MHz Celeron was *underclocked* to 300MHz when I first got it tho
I can't seem to find any way to actually change the multiplier (the jumpers don't change much at all)
also the in-bios hardware monitor has the CPU temp peaking at 58 C
keep in mind that's bios idle, which is a high idle
also worth noting is the chipset (particularly the SiS620 North Bridge) gets extremely hot at anything higher than 600 (and is pretty hot at anything above 400 really)
note that all these settings are (presumably) safe for the RAM (which uses the FSB speed unmultiplied) as it's PC133
as it stands:
-Totally stable at 400, 450, 500, and 540.
-Hangs while loading Windows at 570 (bluescreens in safe mode)
-Hangs right as Windows tries to load at 600
-Won't POST at any higher settings
