On the same page, I am big on reading diffs. Changelogs are amazing, specially curated ones. But sometimes the only way to keep up is to read diffs. Diff reader tooling is still evolving, but I love delta+bat and the github diff viewer.

Web apps lack a readable surface. Configuration is usually scattered. Feature pages only consistency is being too affected by marketing.

Also, for apps in general, I also read the settings. Like all the settings pages. I guess I am scanning the surface of the tool/app to become aware of the features.

I read the docs. Not manpages, those are too hard. But if there is a documentation webpage it looks readable I try to go through it. It takes a lot of time, but I have to do it.
