@squirrelbutt the images for the mastodon are in app/assets/images, so you'd need to replace fluffy-elephant-friend.png with this for it to appear on the home page
@squirrelbutt hmmm, I'm not familiar with docker so I'm not sure... if that's how you deploy it onto your server I guess?
@blackle i don't know anything about docker.
@squirrelbutt I could ask for an invite to the mastodon discord for instance owners
@blackle cool, nobody even told me that existed
i don't think *anyone* knows we exist
and i really hate that
it only motivates me less to waste time maintaining it
i mean if nobody's using it, why bother c:
@blackle i just really hate how everything is hidden and frustrating and you have to solve like 10 riddles to find any info
@squirrelbutt this is understandable. it used to be that the priority was to make everything easy for the user, but the recent explosion means we should start making things easier for admins and instance owners
@squirrelbutt @blackle I've been recommended to use vagrant for this case. Don't do development with docker.
@stickypaws @blackle what's vagrant.
@squirrelbutt @blackle something similar but with less work involved I think ?
@stickypaws @blackle i don't know anything about that. i'll wait until the domain expires and then if someone else wants it they'll make a better mastodon instance than me.
@blackle and then do a painful docker build that takes 30 minutes?
