It's not all that different from the concept of "liberal communist": creating a sense of comfort in what they're doing and their followers while masquerade the aesthetics of revolutionary.

Those who accumulate too much of it soon turns to social engineering for more. And in many cases it translate to money and donations.

Greed and lust for power/influences can and will change people, should they not already have any ulterior motives in the first place. Social engineering is inevitable for social capitalists and they can harvest monetary profit from their place in the marketplace of ideas. Gathering clout points isn't community building, it's building social capital.

I see the fuckers from witches.live is defending the accumulation of social capitals again (while ignoring the concept of social engineering of course). Never let them deceive you into thinking these things happen as part of a "natural consequence". Just as the distribution of money under capitalism is unfair, so is the distribution of social capital in the marketplace of ideas.
