Wait what exactly do you mean by that?

@lyliawisteria@todon.nl
I'm not saying inviting them into leftist space, then probe. But rather keep an open mind when considering inviting and examine someone before letting them deeper into leftist space.

@lyliawisteria@todon.nl
Morally saying, yes. Practically saying, different people have different buttons to push. I used be an ancap in highschool.
@Wewereseeds@sunbeam.city @scottishwobbly

@lyliawisteria@todon.nl
That is very true. Which is why I said to only radicalize everyone when you have the upper hand

I know the type that set out their "path of righteousness" when they lose hope in the people around them. It's all very sad. Even if they change later it still has lingering effects on them. Just my opinion, but these are the best candidates of the capitalist system to protect itself.

@Wewereseeds@sunbeam.city
Part of this stem from the fact that a lot of people don't wanna accept they were abused by the system or in some cases, by their family.
@lyliawisteria@todon.nl @scottishwobbly

@Wewereseeds@sunbeam.city
Yeah but ya gotta know to pick the ripe ones from the rest, and to do so discretely under the radar. From personal experience, once they feel like they've secured a place in the system or at least the track they've set out for themselves, it's quite hard to radicalize.
@lyliawisteria@todon.nl @scottishwobbly

@lyliawisteria@todon.nl @Wewereseeds@sunbeam.city @scottishwobbly
I would say tho, not everyone can change, or as I should say, not everyone can change until we have the upperhand. What we should do is balancing between radicalizing people and identifying and eliminating threats to the revolution.

@lyliawisteria@todon.nl @Wewereseeds@sunbeam.city @scottishwobbly
Even better if you can pick them out and demonstrate their malicious intent to other liberals to radicalize them.

@lyliawisteria@todon.nl
Yeah I didn't phrase that very well. I'd agree to fight social capitalists and infiltration capitalist agents. However we should keep a balance from alienating potential liberals that can be radicalized.

"We'll have the elite vangaurd to safegaurd the revolution from outside threats and the ignorance of the pesants"

-10 minuets later-

"Oh shit the vangaurd was like 70% capitalist agents and now they've usurped the leadership"

@Wewereseeds@sunbeam.city
Agree. Fight the ideas, not the people.

Anarchist News: **In solidarity with the okupied social centres/squats of Athens**

"From Autonomies In a series of police operations in Athens, over the last ten days, four okupied social centres were cleared, including two that provided autonomous, self-managed housing for migrants. The objective is clear: to discipline rebellious segments of t…"

@scottishwobbly
Yeah this is exactly why I don't trust Tankies and any breed of hierarchical "socialist" groups

And Greta Thunberg was deliberately placed at the forefront of it so that people will actively want to believe, want to feel inspired. It's genius and it's fucking disgusting, and the idea that you can have a climate movement who's actions are decided by a removed leadership rather than democratically by its membership is the idea that's paved the way for green groups to become eco-fascists in the past. It's the New Labour of the green movement

Show thread

XR is literally an example of big business highjacking the movement so as to render it impotent, so that people are able to feel good about change and actively want to believe in the rebellion, without any real concrete changes in society or solutions - and by the time that's realised by the masses, it will be too late. It's a way of letting the steam out carefully on a pressure cooker without turning down the heat if that makes sense, it's an outlet for anger without providing solutions.

So long as the people do not care to exercise their freedom, those who wish to tyrannize will do so; for tyrants are active and ardent, and will devote themselves in the name of any number of gods, religious and otherwise, to put shackles upon sleeping men.
