Seems to me people now may need a reminder that there are two kinds of State-owned media.
One is the propaganda-outlet variant which will purely push the States' interests/narratives, almost completely disregarding such details as journalistic integrity and clearly observable truths.
Other is Public Service media when done properly, which will include not just ability but the DEMAND to be a critic of its owner, the State, and when doing its job properly will often be found to be the loudest source of criticism against State-institutions and the ruling-class, in no small part due to having no need for click-bait articles for funding as funding is guaranteed regardless.
Some pose as the latter until the owning State quite noticeably steps in demanding a change in reporting to serve its interests, combined with gag-orders preventing this having been done from being reported.
Chuckling as I recall that time when the NYPD was really angry about something, I forgot what, and since they could not go on strike instead did a work-slowdown refusing to do overtime or go after "petty crime" for a prolonged time but...
it failed miserably because when there were opinion polls, people in general during that slow-down said they did feel MORE safe than during normal operations,
so they ended their action.
Well, oops. :-D
oh also, in addition to being a revolutionary he was an avid musician and composed Burkina Faso's new post-colonial national anthem. what a badass

hey kids, wanna learn about fascism 👀 ?
Fascism is something we all know of here. we see it grow, we see it's hate turned against many of us, we see the destruction it has brought. but what *is* fascism and what is it's cause?
Fascism doesn't arise from the ether like some monster, fascism is an idea and a product of the times in which it was created.
fascism in it's first most basic form was essentially democratic socialism, and in this we see the core of what fascism truly is. fascism is class struggle.
a revolution's dead heroes
A website has been opened by YPG, YPJ and SDF listing heroes that have given their lives for the liberation of Northern Syria and the Rojava Revolution.
YPG's statement: https://www.ypgrojava.org/Website-dedicated-to-martyrs-of-the-Rojava-Revolution-launched
The website: https://www.sehidrojava.info/
Here is their three most recent top-pictures and a collage I made of the International heroes.
