I fear social media spying for "health checking" is a start or a blanket excuse.
Israel. Pol. Antisemitism.
Not Antisemitic: calling Bibi Netanyahu racist, far right, evil stinking pile of garbage.
Antisemitic: suggesting that all Jewish politicians/all politicians in general are beholden to the Israeli government
Israel. Pol. Antisemitism.
Not Antisemitic: critiquing counties for the way they interact with Israel.
Antisemitic: Saying your biggest problem with China is their relationship with Israel without acknowledging the fact that they are LITERALLY COMMITTING GENOCIDE AGAINST THEIR OWN MUSLIM ETHNIC MINORITY POPULATION WTF YOU MAOIST TANKIE FUSKGHDFH.

my sister's dog's most recent surgery was successful!!
he had swallowed a corn cob whole. he's had surgeries over the past two years to repair internal injuries from having swallowed other inappropriate things, and to repair intestinal scar tissue that had formed after multiple surgeries.
it's a literal actual miracle this dog is alive. ❤️❤️❤️
You know, as long as you get the initial "Hey, can I sit down here with you" bit to work well enough,
you can get into any conversation with any person after that.
As a consultant at the multi-national corporate diner with a table of subsidiary CEOs talking about anarchism,
in the mess-hall talking to a brigadier general about strategy philosophies from high-school or sitting down with bums to talk about the hard knocks of life.
If you go by "social norms", none of that really is OK, but from my experience they worked out well anyway,
because the general gave later praise to the colonel, the bums and I shared our deepest life-stories and the CEOs came to sit at my table later.
I liked sharing my life with those bums the most. We cried and laughed for so long.
I believe it's mostly about pretending as if the stupid social norms don't exist and it's all just normal.
Please keep in mind that a "bum" to me isn't a negative term, but rather a pillar of the community we should have strived to remain.
Once, I had been out shopping two of food and decided "nah, they look like they need it more", so I asked if they wanted it and then we started chatting.
One thing led to another, led to them leading me along their secret trail past the swamp to the hill they had hidden their multi-structure home on and we had a night and a day of it.
Another, I was sitting on a city mountain drunk alone as my friends had given up the fire of revelry,
when a hobo asked if I wanted company;
we shared the morning in memories of life,
I shared visits to my most precious places and at the end of the... noon, I shared finding a set of new pants,
as accidents happen to old friends as well as new.
