now, i'm working for a food co-op as a collective manager and sysadmin. it's better, but i barely make over minimum wage and every day is a struggle. it doesn't feel sustainable in the long run. i feel silly even complaining about this, because i feel like i have a bunch of privilege compared to many. i'm running on fumes though, and if there isn't a revolution soon (or at least reforms on the level of UBI [throws up in mouth a little]) i don't know how i'm going to survive

i want to build things. i want organize my community. i want to plant gardens. i want to teach community classes to young kids using popular video games. i want to help young people learn to cook and make herbal medicine. i want to make zines with my queer friends. all of these have so much value to me, but aren't valued under capitalism

Went crawling back to Reddit lol. :/ I don't miss Facebook at all & barely use Twitter but it's hard to give up all the useful stuff over on aliensite, & I got tired of having to look at the crappy default front page and remember the names of every subreddit I wanted to check for research stuff. Plus they've of course made it real annoying to browse the mobile site logged out & not using their app 🙄 Back to rubbing elbows with sleazes, but at least I can heavily curate my experience over there.
