@starwall haha thanks.
Ive seen a lot of migrations, and the fedi does change with each one, but i have faith that what the fediverse has to offer is still a force for good. theres always a synthesis, where the fedi in turn changes the people that migrated to it.
Also maybe it just took this long for all the shiny to wear off.
@the_gayest_doggo 2016? You've been around for a hot minute! I came in the August wave.
@starwall every twitter exodus changes the fedi, in the end we will have to see what remains and how the fedi changes people in return.
Id love if the fedi could stay just like it was in 2016 but I think that its best if everyone gets the chance to experience it.
@dankwraith here I have a spare one :)
was fucking around with possible offspring in the scrying workshop and i,,,,, i lov them,,, ,

@lyliawisteria
I was 10 - I remember thinking it was really really hot that summer. All the news talked about it, such that I noticed at the time. Heat wave. Plus, I started sixth grade that year and I remember Mrs. Benjamin teaching us about the greenhouse effect, and energy conservation (turning off lights etc). I think that would be winter 1989.

Hope is great, hope is punk, but the fact that it is punk means you've got to realize that the status quo is intensely depressing; being traumatized by that is valid and depression/cynicism are understandable, even rational responses. I was angry about climate change at 18, about 10 years after the current era's first record-breaking heat year, that is, 1988, also the 1st year I heard about climate change. Rage is appropriate. Rage is good.
