Livyatan for instance was one HELL of an apex predator. Nowadays the ocean lacks the role of a megalodon predator, so whale sizes have been allowed to grow to not seen before sizes with no natural predators (blue whales).

@Absolutely_Blakely @extinct most of these were predators, especially the middle ones. they lived in rivers and other swampy areas, and were likely ambush predators like crocodiles, they even walked on their bellies like crocs too. They evolved a gradually more fully aquatic lifestyle.
