real quick, I jumped into the series in MHFU. This was back in 2009. Back then games had little intro videos to get you hyped up for the game, and in the case of MonHun counts as a wordless, "this is our world" explanation

Monster Hunter does not have a deep plot
this video is not as long or in-depth at 15 minutes but is WAY funnier and is a more casual explanation

as mentioned in the longest video, the best method is to try out each weapon in training or demo mode and see which one "feels" the best and/or makes the most sense to YOU
I would advise using your own judgment and not relying on others' descriptions or memes
