Fate/Stay Night would be 10x better if you killed off Shirou at the beginning and made Rin the protagonist alongside Archer and Saber

Change my mind (good lick)

Luck**************

I'm too lazy to delete and repost so what the fuck

@froyo255 agreed tbh - i think the show would have been just fine without the Standard Reluctant Male Lead (omg, im not fond of tropes at all)

@scarly @froyo255 most shows would be tbh. I might have kept watching Re:Creators even after they killed off my favorite character if it weren't for the male lead.

@sadie_bunny @froyo255 oh my goodness, ok so like - Re:Creators was the single most frustrating show that i've ever watched

i wanted to like it, because of the plot and the ridiculously full cast list. yeah no. the entire thing ended up revolving around a truly mediocre Reluctant Male Lead with literally no personality and no non-artificial reason for being important to the story.

anime would be a better genre if they just took all of the Reluctant Male Leads and just deleted them.

@scarly tropes are awful and anime tropes are a special kind of awful

There are ISSUES(TM) with Fate/ as a whole but one of the first ones I got since first playing the VN was more or less "so... why isn't she the protagonist???" :v

@froyo255 agreed on this point, tbh - actually, from that angle it's kinda sad that they had to (again) resort to really pumping up a male lead as being Utterly Amazing, when actually they could have made a really good show by focusing on Rin

@scarly if only the source material didn't... ah... necessitate (in their minds anyway) the presence of a male protagonist >_>;
