god i fucking hate the persona 5 fandom absolutely fucking loathe them i cannot stress this enough

i have never before encountered such a group of absolute brain dead individuals with zero critical thinking skills or reading comprehension

@goroakechi Don't mean to spam your timeline, but why do you hate the P5 fandom? I mean I hate them for acting like they know everything about a franchise they just showed up for and trying to gatekeep me or tell me that SMT is just a bad persona ripoff, aka being idiots. it seems anything I like going mainstream is quickly ruined by people like these. I won't make a final judgement until P6 though.

@Arragonder no worries lol. a lot of my distaste has to do with how poorly the vast majority seems to interpret the source material and how the themes and overall message tend to go right over their heads, but i guess youre going to get people like that in every popular fandom- it was like this for p4 as well. that aside im just a generally irritable person unfortunately, lmao

@goroakechi my friend whose been a persona fan for only slightly less time than me and way more active in the fandom compared to my hearing about the fandom second hand mostly, also lamented the death of the persona fandom with five's rise to mainstream darling so you're def not alone.
To harp on a pet opinion of mine, democratization without education has been ruining things since AOL caused the endless summer of the UseNet days.

@goroakechi I just finished that game last month. I enjoyed it, but gods damn it was TOO FREAKING LONG.

@Starbirb did you play the original or Royal? because the latter has even More content, lol

P5 Spoilers

@goroakechi Royal, finally played it since it got released on PC. Shooting god in the face was based, and Maruki was a great villain, but I was so ready to be done.

P5 Spoilers

@Starbirb truly there needs to be some sort of warning attached to the game lmao. ive tried to get some of my friends to play it but once they learn how long it is they usually decide otherwise
