You don't have to prove that you're nonbinary to anyone and that includes other nonbinary and/or trans people.
Trans and nonbinary are still just people, and people often want you to change to fit their expectations rather than make them have to learn something new.
But, learning and growing is what life is about, so don't hold back.
why i love the rust community Show more
silicon valley-type posts a very silicon-valley-sounding, hyperbole-laced job posting to the rust subreddit, gets good-naturedly mocked in the comments: https://old.reddit.com/r/rust/comments/anikw6/looking_for_rust_network_engineer/

Made the cats a drinking fountain.
It's just a plant pot with a tiny pond pump and some pebbles.
All hooked up to a PIR sensor so it only runs when a cat passes by.
why are there academic dudebros on my timeline today? fediverse you're disappointing me

the fact that you can't See The Entirety Of The Image You're Trying To Describe While Entering The Description makes it, like,...
i know it's usable to some people?
but those people sure as fuck aren't me.
like "please translate this thing to a foreign language. also, no, you can't see the text you're translating and also type stuff at the same time ha ha why would you ever need that? oh but if you don't you're a bad person."
fuck right off kthx. 😣
trans things, binding, spoonie, advice needed, boost please Show more
Recently I've started to have pain bc of binding, I already changed my binder for a safe gynecomastia post-op t-shirt, adapted by an orthopedist.
I have Ehlers-Danlos and years ago I had a bout of something akin to fibromyalgia that cleared slowly over time.
Now what started as mild pain at rib area is turning into neuropathic aching at random areas, like 5 years ago.
Not binding is not an option at all. Spoonie folks, what can I do?

there's a special place in hell for assholes who give unsolicited advice to vulnerable people, instead of asking them what they need and working with them to solve their problems
and if you think you're qualified to dispense life advice just because you're in a better situation than someone who's desperate enough to listen to you, you're a horrible person and i hope you'll have the opportunity to learn why

funny how in retrospect, the truth has always been inside and i just needed to trust myself, because all the people who talk about who you should be and what you should do and how, are full of shit and turn out to be less than stellar individuals
there's more i want to say on that but i'm sleep deprived and words aren't coming to me
neurodiversity (-) Show more
i'm annoyed by the discourse whereby any aptitudes of neurodivergent people are seen as compensatory or coping adaptation
because normies need constant reinforcement, *on every fucking front*, that there is only one proper way to be and that it's their way, and everything else is an aberration - sometimes funny, sometimes scary, sometimes cute, but always ultimately inferior
