i have a device with a built in battery that hasn't been used for 9 years and is at least dead enough that the device won't power on. i've opened it and the battery shows no sign of swelling. is it safe to try charging it?

I've been playing it with the joycon pointer controls so far & like it's very obvious the game was built around the DS but it works well enough like this

This rare variant of the Wiii3 with an additional 7-games cartridge is one of the few places their 16-bit Sunplus games are known to have seen release (not my pic but this is the same model I have) and these videos are me finally finishing the job of capturing footage from it

You might know Nice Code for their gigantic library of NES shovelware but the lesser told part of their story is that they moved beyond 8-bit and their output got quite a bit more interesting. Unfortunately the later games are very hard to find and many may not have been released

Be warned that 3 of the videos (Crazy Kart, Battle of Freekick and Flying Dream) were recorded 13(!) years ago on a totally different setup and the sound is both much louder and worse so prepare yourself for that if you're watching through the whole playlist
