there's a lot of assumptions baked into ai hype that really kill me and one of them is this idea that computer output which is in the shape of natural language is better than the shape of the formal languages computer output is usually in. as though formal language is a shackle we have been desperately trying to free ourselves from and not a tool we invented specifically because it's better for various purposes.

ok well i needed to do 2 ubuntu LTS version upgrades. 20.04 to 22.04 and then to 24.04. 20.04 to 22.04 went perfectly fine, piece of piss, no problems. 22.04 to 24.04 it uninstalled apache for no reason so I had to figure that out and reinstall it but NOW it all seems to be working
might fuck around and upgrade the OS on my server maybe

By my calculations there aren't enough unique moons left in the painting-accessible worlds to get to 150 so I'm just going to go and deposit them. Like I could keep going with shop bought moons but that's no fun
